SpaceX & NASA Launches the Crew-5 Mission to the ISS

There is so much going on in the space industry. As we await the Artemis launch, SpaceX and NASA entertains us in the meantime with the most stunning webcast of the Crew-5 Mission to the International Space Station.

The SpaceX Dragon was launched on top of the Falcon 9 rocket at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. And then 29 hours later on Thursday, October 6 at 5:01 p.m.ET the Dragon autonomously docks with the International Space Station.

This footage is what gets us so excited. It's worth watching the entire video to get a real perspective of the earth and space, taken from inside the Dragon and the ISS. And the commentary from the SpaceX and NASA representatives helps full in the technical and logistical details.

The crew have a lot of work to conclude during their time on the ISS, as it orbits planet earth. They will be conducting over 200 scientific experiments involved with a bunch of technology demonstrations around lunar fuel systems, human health and more.

They'll be up there for awhile, due to return to Earth sometime early 2023, so we expect a lot more cool video coverage up until then!

And holy moly, how good is this welcome video for NASA astronauts Nicole Aunapu Mann and Josh Cassada, JAXA astronaut Koichi Wakata and Roscosmos cosmonaut Anna Kikina. This is the hatch opening video thanks to team NASA/SpaceX.

And now for the SpaceX Crew-5's welcome ceremony aboard the International Space Station. You have to love the sense of fun and humanity that connects us all and these space people demonstrate this beautifully.
